The Alexander Technique is a practical method of self-help.
Developed by Frederick Matthias Alexander at the turn of the 20th century, this unique technique helps us to avoid habitual
patterns of tension harmful to our general health and well-being.
Sitting for long hours in front of a computer; playing a musical instrument; reciting; walking; these are activities
common to modern life. Without paying attention to how we perform them, we can easily get into the habit of losing our poise
and balance. Creating excessive strain on our bodies, our daily activities can become painful and uncomfortable.
With the Alexander Technique, we can learn that it is possible to live differently; we can learn how to control our
habitual reactions, how to prevent harmful habits and how to choose constructive responses to daily life.
