Latin
name: Eucalyptus globulus, China.
Smell:
Penetrating, medicinal.
Eucalyptus
has great antiseptic properties and can help to combat infectious illnesses. Inhaling a couple of drops of eucalyptus and
pine from a handkerchief can help to ease the symptoms of a cold. On a subtler level, it can be used to cleanse the air of
negative energies, for instance following an argument. Australian aborigines have used eucalyptus for its medicinal properties
for thousands of years.
The
oil should be regarded as a short-term measure for use during illness. Avoid if you have high blood pressure. Do not use on
young children. Toxic when taken internally.
